THE COMMON ROOM
Fire, papers
and an armchair.
Morning coffee becomes afternoon tea without any announcement. Residents may read, work, meet a guest or lose an hour to the shelves.

NOTES TOWARDS SUPPER
A short menu,
properly footnoted.
We begin with what arrived well: trout from Bibury, vegetables from the college gardens, local beef and cheeses that deserve their own paragraph. The menu is brief because the kitchen would rather explain each plate than repeat itself.
Supper is served from half past six until ten. A small late menu remains available to residents until midnight.
STACK & STAIR
The house between
its chapters.
Landings carry maps, small paintings and shelves assembled by former guests. The narrow stair beside the library leads to the roof walk; the broad stair returns to the fire.
AFTER HOURS
A private reading room
that happens to deal cards.
At nine, the blue door beyond the library opens to our in-house Casino. Tables are quietly hosted, drinks arrive from the Common Room and the late hours keep the manners of the house.
