The room is private and scholarly in temperament, though the desks are baize and the principal texts are cards. Three seminars introduce the rooms, their games and the habits of a well-kept night.

Reading the table.
The first casino seminar begins beneath shaded library lamps. European roulette and blackjack are set among oak shelves; the atmosphere is conversational, and a house host is always close enough to explain the opening line.
No previous study is assumed. New guests may watch a round, ask questions and join only when comfortable. The room rewards attention rather than display.

The social footnote.
By eleven, the casino moves between tables and conversation. Three card poker continues in the seminar room while residents take drinks, supper plates and the evening papers next door.
The house team keeps the pace legible: limits are stated clearly, pauses are welcomed and every game can be discussed without holding up the room. Good company is part of the subject.

The final pages.
After one, the room grows quieter. A smaller number of desks remain open, the lamps are lowered and coffee arrives without being requested.
The last casino entry is at two. When the casino closes at three, residents return upstairs through the library; water and tomorrow’s breakfast card are waiting in every chamber.
Late desks, 2.16 am. The final tables remain in session.
Conditions of attendance.
The Casino is for adults aged 18 and over. Please bring a passport or photographic driving licence for registration.
Casino membership is complimentary and may be arranged during Office Hours from 6.00 pm. Hotel residents still need to register before their first visit.
The casino offers voluntary limits, time-outs and confidential guidance. Stop whenever play no longer feels enjoyable and speak privately with the casino team.
